Secondary Services History

Secondary Services has grown over the last two decades to become a leading supplier of quality metal finishing services in upstate New York and the eastern Great Lakes region. Our modernized 80,000 sq. ft. facility, SSPC QP3 certification, integrated Quality Management and MRP systems along with a management team having over 70 years of combined industry experience positions Secondary Services to meet the metal finishing needs of customer seeking fast delivery and quality they can trust.

1995

Secondary Services begins operations in 8,000 sq. ft. of leased space in a 67,000 sq. ft. facility in Buffalo, NY.

1996

Secondary Services purchases entire 67,000 sq. ft. facility and begins renovations.

1997

Installation of first two blast rooms.

1998

Completion of building renovations.

2006

Construction of 8,000 sq. ft. high bay expansion begins.

2007

Installation of two Wheelabrator steel grit blast rooms and a 14’W x 14’H x 34’L Global large equipment paint booth.

2007

Implementation of new E2 Shoptech MRP system.

2008

Secondary Services achieves SSPC QP3 certification.

2013

Implementation of bar code scanning for real-time tracking of work in process.

2014

Installation of digital scheduling displays at each work station.

2015

Completion of 5,000 sq. ft. high bay expansion.

2015

Installation of third paint booth with 200 foot pass-through conveyor line featuring 200 pound per hook capacity.

2016

Installation of fourth paint booth, 16’W x 12’H x 16’D open face.

2017

Installation of new glass bead blast room, 15’W x 10’H x 20’L.
